Take-home pay after income tax and the Medicare levy, stamp duty for every state and territory, and mortgage repayments with LMI.
About these calculators
These tools estimate Australian take-home pay using 2024-25 resident tax rates and the Medicare levy (with superannuation shown separately), state transfer (stamp) duty, and home loan repayments with Lenders Mortgage Insurance for deposits under 20%. Every calculation runs in your browser with no sign-up, and each page states its assumptions. Figures are estimates — confirm with the ATO, your state revenue office, or your lender.
Australia calculators — common questions
How is take-home pay worked out in Australia? Your income is taxed using the resident tax brackets plus the 2% Medicare levy. Superannuation is paid by your employer on top of your wage, so it is shown separately rather than deducted from your take-home.
How much is stamp duty in Australia? Transfer (stamp) duty is set by each state and territory, with different rates, thresholds, and first-home-buyer concessions. That is why the stamp duty calculator has a dedicated page for every state and territory.
What is LMI on a home loan? Lenders Mortgage Insurance is charged when your deposit is under 20%. It protects the lender, not you, and is added to the loan — the mortgage calculator includes it in the repayment estimate.
