Utility Calculators

Utility calculators

Quick helpers for percentages, compounding, inflation, and static currency conversions.

Utility calculators offer quick, privacy-first helpers for common finance and conversion tasks.

When to use each tool

Reach for the percentage calculator for tips, discounts, and percent-change questions; the compound interest tool to project how savings or investments grow year by year; the inflation adjuster to compare the value of money across different years; the currency converter for quick static-rate conversions; and split bill to divide a shared expense fairly among any number of people. Each runs entirely in your browser with no sign-up and nothing leaving your device, so they are handy for fast, private everyday calculations at home, at work, or while travelling.

Worked examples

  • Percentage: a shirt marked 40% off at 2,400 costs 1,440 — and to go the other way, if a bill rose from 1,800 to 2,070 that is a 15% increase.
  • Compound interest: 1,00,000 invested at 8% compounded annually grows to roughly 2,15,000 over 10 years — more than double, without adding a rupee.
  • Inflation: at 6% average inflation, something that cost 100 ten years ago costs about 179 today — which is why comparing old prices directly is misleading.
  • Split bill: a 4,750 dinner across 6 people is roughly 792 each, and the tool shows who still owes what once some have already paid.

Why these run in your browser

Every tool here is client-side: the numbers you type are never sent to a server, stored, or logged. That means they work on a flaky connection, they respond instantly with no page reloads, and nothing you enter — salary, bill amounts, savings — leaves your device. It also means results are reproducible: the same inputs always produce the same output, because there is no hidden data or live rate being fetched behind the scenes.
